Village Hall, London Road, Dunton Green, Kent

This lovely village hall is situated in the heart of Dunton Green, and is easily accessible from the M25, A21, Sevenoaks, and all the surrounding areas.

It has a polished wooden floor and plenty of seating if you want it (although we hope you will be dancing, not sitting!).

17th May - X/Tango is Back!

Join us in Dunton Green for our first X/Tango in far too long!

Do you love tango, but just cannot get on with the "traditional" music played at so many milongas? Do you want to get on the floor and dance without all the messing around with cabeceo & mirada - and risking getting told off for daring to go up to someone and asking if they would like to dance? Do you want to expand your tango horizons and find out just how versatile this amazing dance style can be? And do you want to be able to dance other styles such as blues or slow leroc if the mood takes you without the dance police extracting you from the floor by your ear?

If you answered "yes" to any of those you should come along to X/Tango and see what a modern Argentine Tango neolonga can really be like!

Graham plays a selection of alternative tango-danceable music from every genre across the spectrum, some modern electro nuevo that takes the essence of the traditional style and brings it into the 21st century, and occasional wild-cards that will test your musicality. And there will be no vintage "traditional" music at all.

Price for this opening event will be £10 per person. Future X/Tango events will be £12 to stay in line with the price increase of all our classes.

Price: £10.00 on the door - no need to book.

Getting There

Village Hall, London Road, Dunton Green, Kent

The hall is just south of where the local road (London Road) crosses the M26. If you are coming from Sevenoaks direction then go through Riverhead, past the large Tesco supermarket on your left, then across the mini roundabout. The hall is on your right just after the row of shops.

Parking

Although there are signs on the front of the venue indicating a "car park" this is a somewhat optimistic description of the small grassy space behind the building accessible through a very narrow path. It is probably best if you avoid that as my car will be parked there and reversing out is not really an option!

There should be plenty of on-street parking though.

Refreshments

Please bring your own refreshments if you want them. At events such as XTango Socials we will probably be making tea and coffee, but anything more complicated is down to you.

Venue Rules

No talc or similar to be used on the floor.
